Blurb: Bent over her boss's desk for a bare bottomed spanking, Kate Strand finds her wildest fantasies coming true. Dominic, the handsome owner of the club where her band plays has long been the object of her crush, even more so when she discovers he is a vampire. The trouble is, while Dom is happy to satisfy her kink with a little discipline, he seems to be allergic to committed relationships.

For his part, Dom loves knowing how to turn Kate on and taking her in hand comes naturally to him, but vampires and mortals shouldn't mix. He can never offer her what she deserves-- a real relationship that could end in marriage, children and a white picket fence. Still, he finds himself drawn closer and closer to her as their relationship takes the intimate journey into domestic discipline.

The two are soon torn apart, though, when a powerful vampire targets Dom and Kate gets tangled in the dangerous web.  Dom finds himself prepared to sacrifice his own life to save hers. Can he get her back alive? If so, will they find a way to be together?

Review: Here is another hot and spicy vampire story with an added bit of steamy BDSM relationship on the side. I loved that this story introduced the idea of  "domestic discipline" in the relationship between Dom and Kate. Dom was not into the BDSM scene but because Kate was attracted to being spanked, he was willing to deliver that brand of "discipline" into their interactions. For that alone, I fell in love with Dom and then add on that he is a hot vampire into the mix and I have fallen, "hook, line, and sinker" for the guy!

This story begins with Kate, who is the lead singer for a group named "The Morph's". She was asked to be a part of the band by her friend Fox. Later, Kate accidentally walks in on Fox getting busy with another man, and to her surprise she finds out he is a vampire. Kate panicks and Fox proceeds to tell her that this has happened before and he has erased her memory; but he has done this one too many times and he no longer feels it is safe to do that. Kate now has knowledge that her friend, is not only gay but also a vampire as well as his roommates Dom, (the owner of the bar) and Stella. Kate struggles to come to terms with this bit of knowledge and also becomes extremely more attracted to Dom. When Dom and Kate finally do act on their attraction to one another, they begin a sexual relationship that involves lots of spanking. This is Kate's preferable form of sexual stimulation and Dom is more than happy to deliver it to her. They have an explosive relationship but it becomes threatened when some danger comes Dom's way. There is an ancient lady vamp who is capturing and destroying vampires, especially the ones who are older. Now that Dom has been warned of the dangers, he becomes very aware that he is no good for Kate and he has an inner battle going on inside of himself that he should let her go.

This really is an exciting book with plenty of scenes that kept me reading into the night. I enjoyed the interactions between Dom and Kate, although some of the spanking scenes ended up falling flat because they didn't always end up finishing with sex. When this couple did have sex though, it was very hot and left me wanting more! I loved Dom and how possessive and protective he was of Kate. He showed his fangs a few times when someone threatened his girl, and to me, that is just so HOT!  Kate was an interesting character as well. When she sang, she was confident and took control of the crowd; but once she was off that stage she seemed to be more unsure of herself and needed the release of a good "spank" to keep her frustrations to a minimum. This made her and Dom's relationship perfect for one another because he was a guy who liked to be in charge.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good Dom/sub dynamic in the relationships that they read about. Also, if you are into a paranormal element to your read, it is a pleasant addition into the story. Renee Rose is an author that I will be keeping my eye on for any future books that she puts out there. I enjoyed her style of writing and the story that she wrote was one that I enjoyed very much.
