Blurb:  When “Life Coach to the Stars” Jocelyn Bloom is embroiled in scandal, the only place she can hide is the one place she wishes she could forget. She left Barefoot Bay—and the boy next door who knew all her secrets—years ago. Now nothing about the tiny island off the coast of Florida is quite how she remembers it, especially Will Palmer. He’s even more gorgeous and tempting . . . and still capable of turning her world inside out.

To Will Palmer, Guy Bloom is more than the elderly, senile neighbor he looks after—he’s the last connection to Jocelyn, the woman Will loved and lost. But the reunion with Jocelyn doesn’t go smoothly. Shocked by the change in her father’s personality, Jocelyn struggles to reconcile her dark childhood with the sweet, confused man who has grown close to Will. Jocelyn has guided countless clients to happiness—but can she escape the rainy days of her past for a new sunny future with Will?

Review:   You can never get enough of going home again stories, and Barefoot in the Rain is a beautiful addition to those type of stories. Filled with intense emotion and situations so real to life, St. Claire's writing is brilliant, fresh, and riveting.

From the very beginning, I knew this was going to be an emotionally charged book. I was right.  Jocelyn Bloom has come home, and everything changed. Except for one thing- her attraction to Will Palmer. The pair share a history. They've been best friends for years, and they were on the verge of admitting their true feelings for one another until one thing got in their way. That was enough to send Jocelyn far far away. She never imagined she'd return.  But here she is, back in her hometown.

Will is one of those heroes that's drawn to holding onto every single memory of the woman he loves. It's heartbreaking to me that he proclaimed his love to Jocelyn and they were torn apart for so long. Now here's his chance to show her again how he feels, if only she will open up and allow some love in.

Also, we get to catch up with some past characters. If you remember Lacey and Clay from barefoot in the Sand, well they are back, along with two other friends, Zoe and Tessa.

Ms. St Claire has a way of stealing reader's hearts, and I'll admit, mine is one of them. As much as I enjoyed Barefoot in the Sand, this second book featuring Barefoot bay is my favorite.  Talk about characters that change and plenty of conflict? This has it. I'm in awe of how well this story flowed, and there's tons of tension to go around. The relationship between Jocelyn and her father is strained, but now she has a whole other problem to tend to. He's a different man now than what he was like back then.  Will knew exactly what he was up against, but he can't help but take care of Guy. The stage is set for some fireworks and for sparks.

In a nutshell, Barefoot in the Rain is a stunning contemporary romance that's not to be missed. I can't wait for more!  Ready for a nonstop ride of emotions?  This book is going to steal your attention, carry your heart away, and make you laugh, cry, and fall in love.
