Blurb: Trish Flaherty has ten days to stop an extortionist's plan to compromise her top-secret software project. Only one cyber-security consultant has the expertise to identify the culprit in time to prevent a national security disaster: her former lover, Greg Erickson.
Just thinking about Greg unleashes a cache of painful memories, but Trish must work with him to find the extortionist. This time, though, she will keep her distance. She can't give Greg a second chance to desert her—her heart won't survive.
Greg has his own agenda. Recent events have damaged the reputation of his consulting company. Working with the lover who once betrayed him could help identify the perpetrator. But Trish appears to be involved in the subterfuge, and the extortionist doesn't hesitate to kill.
Can Greg and Trish discover the truth about the past and learn to trust each other, before a devious countdown leads to tragedy?

Review:   When there's corruption within her company which could get her into some major hot water, Trish comes face to face with a love from her past. Working side by side every day brings a whole lot of memories up.  There's quite a bit of angst between Trish and Greg, but they have to keep their past behind them so that they can concentrate on the trouble that's happening now.

With plenty of tension, sexual and non, the couple's attraction sizzles from the start. Neither want to admit how they feel for one another, epecially because they didn't leave things in the best of terms.  Trish is at the point in her life where she may give up on love, but she is longing for a child.

The suspense keeps readers on their toes. Kathleen Mix does a good job keeping the romance and suspense to a perfect blend. Deadly Memories has a bit of a slow start, and at times there are parts that are slow, but overall, this is a great story and was glad I had a chance to read it.

In the mood for a romantic suspense and a second chance story? Deadly Memories is bound to keep you guessing until the very end.
