BLURB: Zoe Adams has always been content with her quiet nights at home, watching TV alone-until her life turns into a real-life episode of Unsolved Mystery Hunters. The story of a kidnapped girl triggers unexplained memories, and Zoe is dead-set on figuring out why. Her search leads her to one of the Lone Star State's richest families-and to sexy PI Tyler Lopez.

Tyler has sworn off women, especially redheads with killer curves who poke their noses into his clients' private lives. Still, he can't deny the attraction any more than he can deny that some of Zoe's crazy story makes sense. But when she becomes a hit man's target, this cold case starts heating up. Suddenly, Tyler will do anything to protect Zoe-even risk his heart.

Review:  Is it hot in here, or is it just Christie Craig's stories? The second book in Craig's  Hotter in Texas is one of my favorite books from this author. Tyler and Zoe's story is full of thrills, sexy romance, and some great suspense. And, as a bonus, not only do we get one HEA, but how about two! Yes, that's right. There are TWO great love stories within the pages of this book.

What would you do if you suddenly learned you may not be who you grew up as? Okay, that doesn't make sense, does it? Your whole identity, your life, could be uprooted and turned into lies by one piece of information. That's what the heroine, Zoe, is going through. Here's the problem. It seems a little far fetched, and no one believes her. But little things here and there that never added up seem to now. Zoe is a helluva heroine. She sticks to her guns and her instincts, and she's sassy. Perfect!

The hero, Tyler, has a few bad things he's dealt with. One thing he knows, he sure doesn't want to get involved with a woman that has some trouble following her. But he can't help himself, and ends up involved with her mystery, and eventually with Zoe herself.

Now, the great thing about this story is if you've read the first in the series, Only in Texas, you'll see some familiar faces. You don't have to have read Hotter in Texas to read this story, even though there are situations that happened in the first book, the plot itself is stand alone.  So secondary characters are a very strong influence in this book, and the second sub plot deals with a man named Rick, and Ellen. I enjoyed both romances within the book. There's plenty of mystery to go around, and a favorite about Christie Craig is the witty humor written in the book. It's hard to pull of a suspense novel with sass, comedy, and fun, but Ms. Craig is at the top of her game with that.

If you're looking for a great read full of laughs, suspense, and a great story, I highly recommend   Christie Craig- one of my go to authors for comfort, and a total autobuy!
