Blurb: Forced to live a clandestine life, Danielle "Dani" Jordon believes she has found a safe haven in Las Vegas until she meets devastatingly handsome casino owner Jace Diamond. With his compelling sexual magnetism and mind-numbing kisses, Dani finds her world turned upside-down. Resisting the most compelling man she has ever met proves to be a task Dani doesn’t have the strength to fight.

Inexplicably drawn to her, Jace embarks on a relentless pursuit to make Dani his. It isn’t long before he finds himself totally in love, but can he convince Dani that she belongs with him?

Trapped in her life of deceit, Dani is afraid to admit her love for Jace or believe in a life without fear. Can Dani take the chance and trust Jace to provide the sanctuary she so desperately needs, or will that trust lead to the exposure of her secrets and destroy her life?

Review:  Some people are like fire and ice. They're calm, then next moment, they are explosive. But yet, they can't live without each other. In Fair Play, we see this effect with Dani and Jace. Two great people, they fall in love, but their ups and downs are only the beginning.

Dani is one guarded woman. She's hiding from something, that seems obvious from the beginning. But what it is, I didn't know. Not right away. She ends up meeting Jace...well, she has one heck of an encounter with him before she begins working for his company. Despite protests in the beginning, Dani agrees to see Jace. And that, my friends, is the start of their love affair!

There is plenty of conflict and angst in Fair Play. Dani isn't one to trust, and she allows that to influence her feelings many times.

I enjoyed this book very much. That being said, there are a few things that bothered me. Jace has a possesive streak at times. He makes comments like “You are mine, you are mine” and it wasn't in a way that I found to be kind and loving. He of course apologizes for his actions later. Dani, now this woman has a temper something fierce! One minute everything is fine, and the next she's going off at Jace for something.

The one thing I have to say, even with these situations, it's very true to life. Janna Shay shows readers that it's not all happily ever after and that life is perfect, because it isn't. Jace and Dani are certainly in love, but Ms. Shay takes things to next level in giving a glimpse of the sometimes downside of working a relationship. Jace and Dani both have their flaws and it's evident. But the pair make do. They learn to give and take. They have their disputes, but they have their good times.

Fair Play is a fast paced, roller coaster ride of emotions, and a bit of suspense.  You're in for an intense ride if you check out this book.
