Good Sunday to you! Today's post features a review for the book Dead Meat, by Patrick Williams and Chris Williams. Thanks for stopping by once again, and I hope you enjoy the feature!
The city of River’s Edge has been quarantined due to a rodent borne rabies outbreak. But it quickly becomes clear to the citizens that the infection is something much, much worse than rabies...
The townsfolk are attacked and fed upon by packs of the living dead. Labeling the infected residents “bees” for their tendency to travel in swarms, Gavin and Benny attempt to survive the chaos in River’s Edge while making their way north in search of sanctuary. No one knows what waits outside the quarantined zone, but Gavin and Benny know that to survive, they must escape.
Review: Two strangers are thrown together in a midst of utter chaos, unimaginable destruction, and nightmarish horrors. In any other circumstance, Gavin and Benny most likely would have never met. They would have never had the need to pair up to fight for survival. But they have. Dead Meat is their story.
I am one that enjoys a good horror/thrill ride of a story. Dead Meat definitely delivers on that aspect. From the start, the story begins in the middle of the craziness. The action and pace never slows.
If you aren't afraid of things that go bump in the night....I dare you to pick up a copy of Dead Meat. Allow yourself to suffer the wrath of goosebumps and eerie chills as every little sound will potentially drive you out of your mind. ......
I give this 4 out of 5 Lightning Bolts.
