Review: Love With A Perfect Cowboy

Love with a Perfect Cowboy
A Cupid Texas Novel
By: Lori Wilde
Releasing May 27th, 2014

Blurb
Cowboys always seem to have the most spectacular butts, probably from all that hard riding in the saddle. But Melody Spencer had long-ago wiped the dust of Cupid, Texas off her cute shoes…and done her best to forget the chiseled jaw, strong arms and those other assets of cowboy Luke Spencer. Their families might be part of a long-time feud, but he was her very first love even if it turned out they never wanted the same things.

But now Luke’s come striding back into her life, tempting her with the memories of long, lazy evenings and hot, passionate kisses. And he has an ulterior motive-as Mayor of Cupid, he knows Melody’s business savvy can help save their beloved hometown. His smooth-talking might get her to Texas, but that doesn’t mean he’ll get her in his bed. Still, people do say love can be more perfect the second time around…

Review: Melody Spencer's past walks back in her life at the worst possible time...or is it?

Melody left Cupid, Texas as fast as she could to make a new life for herself in New York. She's got a great job, a possible promotion, and a hot boyfriend. Or...does she?

Okay, maybe she DID. However, this day completely changed things. And then comes Luke, hottie cowboy to save the day. No, not quite. He wants Melody's help to save their hometown. Just how does he expect that to happen?

The chemistry between Luke and Melody is sizzling. I had a feeling there was a history between the two even before there was the slightest hint of it. However, I didn't realize how strong of one! Whew!

Lori Wilde's stories are full of heat, humor, and all kinds of relationships. I love the town of Cupid. The city of El Paso is mentioned being close by in this story, which is my hometown and I keep thinking when I visit El Paso that I wish there was a Cupid for me to go to! Ms. Wilde creates stories with realistic characters, ones I can relate to and fall in love with. This latest edition to her series is another one I can pull off the shelves and cherish when I need a good dose of a small town feeling.

  1. Hello again, Lori! And hello, Nikki! I can definitely relate to that "small town feeling," having grown up in one. On the one hand, everyone knows everyone's business. But on the other hand, it's great for raising kids because they can't get away with ANYthing without someone knowing and telling your parents. :-) I miss the simple, country living in a small town, which meant little stress and no traffic. And I sure did love cowboys in our small town. Went to every single rodeo every single year. I saw your mention of El Paso...which is so familiar to me as I went to college at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM. Talk about a small world. Thanks so much for the post. And thanks to Lori for her writing of stories in small towns! Yea! jdh2690@gmail.com
