Review: To Professor, With Love

To Professor, With Love
Forbidden Men #2
By: Linda Kage

Blurb
Junior in college. Star athlete. Constant attention from the opposite sex.

On this campus, I’m worshiped. While seven hundred miles away, back in my hometown, I’m still trailer park trash, child of the town tramp, and older sibling to three kids who are counting on me to keep my shit together so I can take them away from the same crappy life I grew up in.

These two opposing sides of myself never mix until one person gets a glimpse of the true me. I never expected to connect with anyone like this or want more beyond one night. This may be the real deal.

Problem is, Dr. Kavanagh’s my literature professor.

If I start anything with a teacher and we’re caught together, I might as well kiss my entire future goodbye, as well as my family’s, and especially Dr. Kavanagh’s. Except sometimes love is worth risking everything. Or at least, it damn well better be because I can only resist so much.

Review:  There's a difference in crushing on your teacher, and falling in love. It also spells trouble. Big time.

Linda Kage creates another emotionally engaging story of teacher and student. Noel Gamble is a fantastic football player. He's good in school. He's popular. He's...he's all around a good guy. Not everyone knows that, not everyone sees past things. He also has family stuff that he doesn't really share with anyone.  My first impression of him, I thought Noel was a bit stuck up and bratty. Boy did I learn real quick how far off I was.  I wouldn't mind a day with him...Oh, you didn't hear me say that ;)

Then there's Aspen. His professor. The one who grades his papers, the one who's been told not to let him fail. The one who secretly crushes on her student. Yep. Things are getting mighty interesting now, aren't they?

They get even more intense as the two meet where Noel works, and the sparks only ignite even more. Secrets are told, feelings are changing and a bond is forming.

But there are consequences.

This is another read that I felt so invested with the characters. The subject of professor and student was a great one and I loved Noel and Aspens banter, the way their feelings changed and how despite the odds against them, they took a chance and let their hearts do the talking.
