Just a Holiday Fling
Pine
Lake Series Book One

Tiffany Marie
She
wants a fling. He wants forever.
Samantha isn’t feeling very festive as she heads back to her childhood hometown for Christmas—but being alone, homeless, and verging on jobless can do that to a woman. She has no interest in participating in the town Christmas celebrations and would rather just crawl into bed until the holidays are over. Determined to get back into the Christmas spirit, Sam plans on seducing her childhood best friend—and fantasy guy—Jack. A holiday fling will be just the thing to kick her Scrooge-like attitude.
Jack’s been in love with Samantha for years, but he didn’t make his move before someone else did. Now she’s finally single again, and Jack’s not going to waste any time. He has a little over a week to convince Samantha they belong together, and that moving back to their childhood town to be with him is the right thing to do. As he woos her with carriage rides and homemade desserts, he learns Sam has been offered a new job half-way across the country, and he fears he’s about to lose her all over again.

Review: Ya know, I'm starting to see patterns here. Flings. They JUST DONT HAPPEN! Nope! NOT the way one wants them to!
So here's the set up. A woman goes to her childhood home for the holidays. She's a bit on the bitter side, not that one can blame her because her ex fiance, the man she'd planned to marry, turned the tables on her by not being faithful. Jerk! Hope a few icicles fall on you, how's that? Yeah, okay, so I can feel her pain...He's a jerk. *Sigh* And right around the holidays, too. That puts a damper on things. Samantha's plan? Seduce her childhood friend. What could a little holiday fling hurt, right?
Well, that might not work so well. Jack's been in love with her forever. He's not about to give up this opportunity. Fling? What fling?
See where I'm going with this?
I love Jack. He's sweet. Yes, I just called a man sweet. Whatcha going to do about it? No really, I adore this guy! He knows what he wants. He's lost a chance before and he wants to do whatever it takes. And he does. I won't tell you what, that's for you to read and find out, but let's just say he melts my heart. Come on Samantha, if you don't give in, I...wait, no I won't. I'm married. He's fictional.
This is a fun holiday novella. The sparks fly. Samantha just might find real love. And the only flings going on around here will be the flinging of her arms around Mr. Wonderful.
