Rome Kategan has been a haunting thought in her mind ever since she met the grinning rogue. If only she was the woman she used to be she could enjoy the sexy male, but instead she is haunted and fearful for the future.

Her past has emerged with vengeance and with one purpose in mind for Alison—death. Rome Kategan swears to protect Alison with a passionate determination that frightens Alison almost more than her past. Now, in the midst of danger, Rome must protect the woman he loves and convince her to be his mate.

Review:  I read the first book in this series and had to read this one. I have really enjoyed several books by this author and she does an amazing job writng books of the paranormal and putting just a bit of suspense in them that will leave you on the edge of your seat.

Alison has been in a bad relationship and she has the memory to live with everyday and it becomes even more when she walks into her apartment and everything has been destroyed and he also left her something on her bed. So she calls on her friend for help. Even if it means seeing Rome Kategan. (Paragraph) Rome knows that Alison is the woman for him and he wants to be there to protect her. He knows that she has been hurt and she doesn't want a relationship. He has to cahnge her mind plus keep her from coming to any harm. He does see red when he sees another man at her house and it just gets worse when he finds out she is in her breeding cycle.

I loved this book and I can't wait to start on the third book in this series. The Kategans are becoming a very addicting family. They are wolf-shifters that are alphas. They have one sister and she gives as good as she gets. The stories are short but hot. They also make me laugh and I just can't get enough. I would say that if you love shifters and hot stories then this is the series for you.
