I'm taking part in the Beautiful Misery Blog tour! Check out my interview with the author. My review will also post later, as I've accidentally scheduled too many reviews around the same time. *Sheepish Grin* I'm a faster reader, but not THAT fast!
Tell
me about yourself, and your writing.
I
never pictured myself getting married and having kids, until I met my
husband. I was the wild child and he calmed me. I fell in love with
him at 17. Good thing, because at 18 I was pregnant with our
daughter. By 21, I was married with two little girls. Not at all the
life I pictured for myself but I love it. We are happily married,
living our dream, and raising our daughters on the beach in Florida.
My
writing comes from a lot of personal experience. I use a lot of real
life to write and pull emotion. I am currently working on a book that
holds a special place in my heart. My past isn’t all sunshine and
lollipops and I use that to my advantage in my writing.
How
long have you been writing? How many published books, and what
genres?
I
have always loved writing but never took it serious. After reading
FSoG, I started thinking about writing my own book. I started writing
my first novel at the end of December 2012. I currently have three
published books, all in erotica romance.
Do
you write in multiple genres or just one? If just one, do you ever
consider straying outside your genre?
As
of now, I have only published in one genre. But, I have one book in
the works that is young adult. No sexy time going on. Haha
Are
you a plotter or do you write from the seat of your pants?
I
usually try to plot the storyline out. Too bad the characters get in
my head and screw everything up. My stories never turn out how I plan
them to. So, in the end I become an ‘in the moment & by the
seat of my pants’ writer.
What
is a typical writing day like for you?
My
typical writing day usually doesn’t start until around 10pm. Late,
I know. But, having two young kids and a husband who is out of town
for work a lot it is hard to write during the day. Too many ‘mom
she’s looking at me’ or ‘mom she took my toy’. I get easily
distracted. So after the mini monsters are in bed I snuggle up with A
LOT of coffee and my laptop. I turn on Spotify and write. Usually it
is close to 3am or 4am before I shut down and get a few hours of
sleep.
Who
do you love to read? Favorite authors, favorite books?
My
favorite authors: EL James, Sylvia Day, Michelle Valentine, AC
Marchman, Kristen Ashley, Tara Sivec, Colleen Hoover, Jamie Mcguire,
SC Stephens, and Abbi Glines
My top 5 books: Fifty Shades of Grey, Crossfire Series, Beautiful Disaster, Chocolate Lovers Series, & Black Falcon Series.

What
is something you’d like to accomplish is your writing career next
year?
I’m
not looking to become a NYT or USA Today bestselling author or make
millions. Honestly, I just want to pull emotions from people and have
them fall in love with my characters. I would like to have The
Beautiful Series complete and working on something very different.
So, in a year I don’t have ‘goals’ per se.
What
is something that you absolutely can’t live without?
I
would have to say two things, it’s a tie. Coffee and my cell phone!
Could
you ever co author a book with someone? If so, who would you choose,
and what would you write?
I
would love to co author with Michelle Valentine. Maybe bringing our
two bands together and writing a story about them on tour. My next
series, Rock Raising Hell, is about sexy, bad boy rockers. There will
be some mentioning of my favorite fictional rockstars, Black Falcon.
I love me some Noel!
What
are some of your hobbies outside of writing?
SHOPPING!
Baking, going to the beach, and playing supermom.
What
is something you’ve always wanted to do, but haven’t done yet?
Why not?
Bungee
jumping & sky diving. Still trying to build up the nerve to
actually do it.
If
you were on the staff to have a book adapted to movie, what would you
pick?
I
would want to be the lead caster. That way I could cast exactly who I
envision as the characters.
What
talent do you wish you had, but don’t?
Hmm.
I would say singing. I love music. Music has gotten me through a lot.
Favorite
color?
Pink
Weather:
hot or cold?
Hot.
I hate cold weather!
Favorite
place to read?
The
beach.
Favorite
meal?
Balsamic
glazed pork chops with carrots and apples, Italian roasted potatoes,
and spring salad.
Favorite
non-alcoholic drink?
Sweet
Tea. I live in the south, I think it’s mandatory to love sweet tea
haha
If
you could travel anywhere and do anything, no limits or money holding
you back, where would you go?
Backpack
through Europe. Mainly Paris, Rome, and Dublin.

shouldn't use, Cobie Nayler. Cobie is the little sister of Larkin,
the one who took his best friend away from him.
After one hot night, Cobie and Gage go their separate ways only to be forced back together after Cobie finds out she's pregnant, and Gage is the dad.

Chandin
Whitten is a married mom of two beautiful little girls. During the
day she is super mama living her dream on the beach in Florida. By
night she is the writing warrior.
She
has always loved writing and reading, but after graduating high
school she took a hiatus from reading to raise her daughters. After
reading FsoG in the spring of 2012, Chandin started thinking
seriously of writing her own book. She started the beginning of 2013
and had her first novel, Beautiful Goodbye finished by Valentine's
Day.
Writing is a therapeutic escape for her. She uses a lot of real life experiences to build her stories and pull out a range of emotions in her readers.
