Review: Of all the principals offices, he had to walk into hers. And from there, things changed.
Colin and his 11 year old son are still dealing with the death of Jason's mother. Colin is a doctor and though he's been on a few dates, no one has grabbed his attention. Not the way that Hope does. But here lies the problem. Hope is his son's principal, and she feels strongly about starting a relationship with Colin even though she feels very attracted to him.
Situations arise that pull the two together, and they share a bond. Jason also seems to like Hope and wants her around in his life.
I have to say I LOVE the sexy banter between Hope and Colin! They are so cute and funny! Seriously, they two of them just blurt out things don't realize it, and it makes it so hilarious. I loved reading about their attraction and their struggles on how to deal with it. Eventually I knew they were going to give in, but the road to get there made for a great read!
Not all is going to go as planned though. A meddling woman wants to put an end to things right away and Hope struggles with a few reminders from her past.
The characters are well defined. The pacing is great! The dialog...well I already said how I feel about that, but I'll say it again! Witty, charming, laugh out loud funny. Okay, Ms. Dozier...you've got me hooked. And right from the start!
The story is light in nature but close to the end there are a few moments that had me tearing up. But then, I'm a sap like that. I'll be looking for more from this great author in the future, and in the meantime, if you're looking for a contemporary romance to try...I highly recommend Breaking The Rules!
