Review: Cry Little Sister

Title: Cry Little Sister

Author: Parker Ford

Publisher: eXcessica

Genre: erotica

Reviewer: Jen

Review rating: 3.5 LIGHTNING BOLTS

Blurb: After the death of their father, Jordan moves home to help her brother put him to rest. He breaks the news one night that evidence has come to light that they might not actually be related. Which puts a whole new spin on the vivid sexual fantasies they’ve had for years. Fantasies about each other. There’s a very un-sibling-like attraction between Jordan and Gareth and it’s bubbling to the surface more and more with each day they spend together. A little knowledge can be powerful.

The question becomes, do they wait to sort it all out? Jordan wants to learn the pleasure of pain, and she knows her brother can teach her. Gareth is more than happy to give instructions, because he just wants Jojo, he’s wanted her for a very long time. So do they wait, or do they proceed, because…what if they’re wrong?

Warnings: This title contains pseudo-incest, BDSM, spanking, anal sex, explicit sex and language.

Review: This is a story that takes a bit of the forbidden and turns it into some hot erotica! Jordan and Gareth grew up believing they were brother and sister; but after Gareth heard his dying fathers ramblings that Jordan wasn't his daughter, the questions began and hopes were raised. You see, the siblings began to develop an inappropriate attraction, and sexual feelings towards one another as they both started to mature. Even though neither one had ever acted on these taboo feelings, they both had them and continued to fantasize about each other. Jordan comes back to her childhood home after her supposed father's death, and grieves with Gareth. When he brings up the issue of them possibly having different parents and not being blood related, the flood gates of their attraction opens up and they can no longer avoid their feelings any longer. As they are becoming aquainted with one another sexually, Jordan stumbles upon a man who could or could not be her father.

Even though this story includes a forbidden attraction between two possible blood siblings, it was enjoyable. The sex is extremely hot and has some BDSM elements in it as well. Not everyone will be comfortable reading about possible incest, but if you are into dark and taboo reads then this is an enjoyable book. I gave it a 3.5 stars because there were a lot of spelling errors and at times that distracted me a bit. {eg. the word; 'clothes' was written 'Close'} I also would have liked to have had Gareth's point of view in the story, and because it wasn't I didn't connect to his character as much. Jordan was a likeable character and her torment with in herself regarding her attraction to her possible brother was heart breaking at times. On the whole though, it was a pleasurable read and I would for sure look to read some of Parker Ford's other works.
