Blurb: After a nightmarish encounter with a werewolf, seventeen-year-old Adria Dawson loses her sister, but gains the love of a mysterious young man and his legendary family.
Strange and tragic things begin to happen in the small town of Hallowell, Maine: residents come down with an unexplainable 'illness' and some disappear. In the midst of everything, Isaac Mayfair is adamant about keeping Adria safe, even from her sister whom he has warned her to stay away from.
As unspeakable secrets unfold all around Adria, impossible choices become hers to bear. Ultimately, no matter what path she takes, her life and the lives of those she loves will be in peril. As she learns about the werewolf world she also learns why her place in it will change the destinies of many.

Review: The Mayfair Moon by J. A. Redmerski  is about Adria, a girl from a broken family who is forced to move to another state with her sister Alex. Adria sees this move as a new start; somewhere she can forget the terrible night that changed her and Alex’s life.  However, trouble follows from the start and Adria is right in the middle of it. She finds herself having to decide between her sister and a boy who she has developed feelings for. But who can she trust? A sister who is nothing like the person she used to be or a boy who seems to always be surrounded by beautiful and available girls?
The pace in this novel started a bit slow for my taste; however, I realized it is because the author was setting the background. I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical about this book because I am not a big werewolf fan; but I also have to say that this book was pleasantly surprising.
I liked that the author gave the werewolf legends culture and traditions. There were turns and twists throughout the novel that kept you guessing, compelling you to continue to read. The first half of the novel was a bit difficult to read just because it was slow, but once everything was set the novel moved on fairly quickly. It was full of suspense and action scenes, romance, betrayal and all that good stuff that is everyday life. My favorite character is Harry, just because he seemed more real and more genuine.
I didn’t like the way the relationship between Adria and Issac started. To me it was not very defined. I felt like Adria was too needy, too sensitive and asking too much of something that wasn’t even there yet. Like I said, the last half of the novel is what had me hooked. I enjoyed reading it, and I will definitely be reading book 2. I recommend this book because it is well written, has interesting twists in the plot and it was alluring. It was also something new that I enjoyed and it didn’t disappoint me.
