Christmas time again. It's in the air. Music, decorations, Christmas books, Christmas movies. The presents, the commercials, the busy stores, the eggnog...You don't need me to go on, do you?
It comes and sneaks up on you so quick. The anticipation drives you mad, and then? It's gone. Like that. Like a fast moving rain storm that you barely had time to soak up the rain drops.
Some love it, some hate it. Some long for it year round.
In the sense of books and movies, do you ever read Christmas books year round? Or watch holiday themed movies? I do. It doesn't matter time time of year, I love to enjoy a good story or movie, even if it's centered around the holidays. Yes, it's more magical during the actual holiday, but that won't stop me from picking up a good book or watching a movie.
What about you? Do you read Christmas stories at any time?
Check out this link, and you can follow along to the other stops on this blog hop! Good luck!

I will read Christmas stories year-round! Sometimes when I'm down, I'll dig out a couple of holiday anthologies as a quick cheer-me-up. Holiday movies, however, I prefer more in the actual season.
ReplyDeleteEnjoying the blog hop! What fun!!

I do read Christmas stories and my favorite is One of my favorite Christmas Romance Books is The Untamable Rogue by Annette Blair! The story is about Ashford Blackburne Fifth Earl and he has to get married and get his willing bride pregnant before Christmas or his grandfather won’t let him inherit his money. Ash truly needs to inherit the money because his late father squandered it all away and he is taking care of his mother. After getting stood up at the alter, again, Ash and his friends go to the local pub where the owner plays a drunken Ash in a card game…his consolation prize is the pubs daughter Larkin, who he wants to get ride of. Ash has to learn to forgive…Larkin has to learn how to trust…can two completely different people find love together. This is a cute, extremely funny, romantic story with a surprise Christmas ending!

Time of year doesn't matter to me, I love the 'take me away' aspect of books so if it teleports me another season along with another town/time, I am happy with that. *smiles*
