Confessions of an (Avon) Addict
Happy Sunday! And welcome one, welcome all, to my stop on the Avon Addicts Blog Hop.
Back in...February? I think it was, I put in my name and information to apply to be an Avon Addict. I thought, no way was I going to be picked. I bet there were so many names, so many entrants, I didn't have a shot. But hey, it didn't hurt to try, right?
My efforts paid off.
Boy, was I ever shocked and stoked! Me! An Avon Addict! I mean, I didn't need the 'official' title to be an addict, because let's face it, I am regardless, but it was an honor to be the first batch of Avon Addicts. I was able to be part of some neat things- I got ARC's before they were released to the general public, I got extra copies of books for giveaways and spreading the word...what more could I want? Well, besides a million dollars, that is. But, that wasn't what Avon Addicts was about. So, no million dollars from that end. Better luck next time! *Wink*
It had been an amazing experience. i met some new friends, was introduced to new authors, and had more chances to talk about something I adore- BOOKS! Some of the swag prizes I received were so amazing and wonderful, especially one that came in my last package.
It pays off to spread the word. And it's not something I wasn't doing before. I love to give book recommendations. I love talking books in general, so this was an added benefit. I'm proud to have had the experience of being an Avon Addict, and it's nothing I will ever forget. Be sure that I will do my duty to help promote and support authors as long as I am physically able, and when I'm not, well, I'll still find a way. I'm that darn stubborn.
Now, I do have a giveaway for you. THREE print books. And do me a favor, if you win, and already have these? Spread the word, give them out, in a true Avon Addict fashion. :)
So, one lucky commenter gets these three books. Please, US residents only. (Sorry! No offense to anyone else, I promise!)

DeleteCongratulations on making it to become an Avon Addict. I'm still at the "Avon Addict Wannna Be" stage but have my fingers crossed to get there one day.
ReplyDeleteI love to comment on lots of blog and I am always excited when someone asks if I have a favorite book or author or what I'm reading, etc. It gives me a chance to tell others about authors and books that I like. I have several authors that I think of as very good friends and I email and chat with them often. I have also been asked by them to read and comment on an ARC they have. This is a honor and a privilege! I make a point of documenting every book I read by putting them on Goodreads along with a review. I feel that if an author worked hard writing a novel, they deserve to have a review written. In addition, I post comments on Facebook and Twitter.
Again, congratulations on your Avon Addict success. You're obviously doing something right! All the best!

It's a great feeling, isn't it Connie? The little thing we do by talking about books we love and sharing our favorite authors means so much to them. It's wonderful. Thanks for commenting!

DeleteThanks for stopping by!
When I read a great book I always tell my friends and coworkers about it. It is great to hear that someone loved a book you recommended. It is also wonderful to find a new author from a friend.
ReplyDeleteAnn(dot)sheiring(at)gmail(dot)com
I spread the word by sharing it on any social media netowrk I belong to. As well as telling anyone I can about the books! People are forever asking me whats the new news in books today! I am not the greatest at writing a review but I can sure talk about a book! lol
