Blurb:  She’s a lonely lady down on her luck : Phoebe Scott, alias Kitty Willis, is a struggling Covent Garden actress with a bruised heart and a closely guarded secret.

He’s steadfast and eminently respectable:  Sir Edward Chambers, Ned to his intimates, is guilt-ridden over his beloved wife’s death and avowed to live out a rustic and mundane life … of celibacy.

With the devil in charge — there will surely be hell to pay : Devil in disguise, Viscount Ludovic DeVere, is determined to return his best friend, Ned, to the land of the living. His meddling machinations result in a night of mind-blowing passion after which “dull dog Ned” awakes to find himself in the King of England’s bed!

I really enjoyed reading The Wild’s Night Bride. I started reading it and couldn’t put it down.

Sir Edward Chambers (Ned), is a man that is haunted about his past. Thinking that he killed his wife because he couldn’t leave her alone and she died in childbirth. He just wants to get his daughters coming out over with and go back to the country where he can be alone. I really loved Ned. The more you get to know him the more you love him. He is a man that will stick by you and be there for you and it doesn’t matter if it’s something that will get you in trouble or not. You better be careful though because he has a mean punch.

Phoebe Scott is trying her best to make ends meet. She has a job at the Covent Gardens as an actress. She needs a protector so that she can be an actress and get the good parts. She takes on the role as Kitty Willis. Everyone says that she needs to get Viscount Ludovic Devere to take on the role. Phoebe is a woman that has a mind and knows how to use it. She’s been used and hurt because she trusted the wrong person. She doesn’t let that stop her and is bound and determined that she will make something of herself. Even if she has to make a deal with the devil to do it.

In this book you never know what is going to happen. Lord Devere is always looking for new ways to keep his life interesting. When you have a man like this nothing is ever boring. I enjoyed the bargain that he makes with his friends. You just sit back and know as your reading that you are about to be taken on a wild ride. I just had to laugh at the things that the charactes did and just knew that they were going to get caught and have their heads removed.

The author came up with a great plot and the story just rolled on at a wonderful pace. I was never bored. I never knew what was going to happen so I was sitting on the edge of my sit wondering what was going to happen next. The characters fit together so well.

This was a great beginning to a new series. I can’t wait to read the next book. I just know that something funny and exciting is going to happen. I recommend this book to everyone.
