Interview with Lynn Myshe Joseph

Welcome to Storm Goddess Book Reviews! I'm glad you made it by today. I have Lynn Myshe Joseph here in the interview hot seat, so I hope you'll enjoy learning about this new author.  We'd love to hear from you, so feel free to leave a comment.

Welcome to my blog, Lynn!  Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.

Tell me about yourself, and your writing.
Married, mom to 3 beautiful children-I have a handful at home! I write in all facets of romance, from the dreamy to the steamy! (Erotic, sweet, sci/fi, fantasy) I don’t limit myself but I do consider myself a romance writer

How long have you been writing? How many published books do you have, and what genres?
Began writing at the age of 15 and 15 years later, I still love it!! I have one published book (YAY!) and I am working on a couple more novellas, an anthology and a full length novel- life is busy!

Do you write in multiple genres or just one? If just one, do you ever consider straying outside your genre?
I write in multiple romance genres and I do think about going outside of romance. I’m brave enough and versatile enough to do just that.

Are you a plotter or do you write from the seat of your pants?
I just write; I sit down and pound out 4000 words and then go back to see where I need to add or take away-
I find this style better for me, as I get out the work and then go back for editing.

What is a typical writing day like for you?
When I get home from my day job, I relax for an hour so. Have dinner, hang out with Hubby and the kids and then I allow myself an hour each night to write. I get away from all social media during that time and just write. Weekends are different; lazy weekend days I am writing all day long!

Who do you love to read? Favorite authors, favorite books?
Right now, I am exploring different authors, but I love Shayla Black! I have so many books that are my faves, but my absolute is mine, of course!

What is something you'd like to accomplish in your writing career next year?
To finish my novel. Even if it is not published, I want to finish it before summer 2013

If you could have one paranormal ability, what would it be?
To read minds. It could be a blessing and a curse, but I’d love to be able to know what others are thinking.

If you could keep a mythical/ paranormal creature as a pet, what would you have?
Hmmm…A fairy. To sprinkle me with dust for inspiration!

Tell us a little about your latest release.
It’s a collection of erotic tales, from the boardroom, to bondage. Its deliciously wicked!

What is something that you absolutely can't live without? (Other than family members)
I’d have to say music. If all music left the world, I would have no motivation.

Could you ever co author a book with someone? If so, who would you choose, and what would you write?
Yes! I hope to co-write with someone soon! I wouldn’t choose the author; I would co-writer with whomever. Our creative minds would meld and make a masterpiece.

If you could spend a day with anyone from history, dead or alive, who would it be, and what would you do? What would you ask them?
I couldn’t pick just one; there are so many fascinating people out there that I would want to learn about each one individually.

What are some of your other hobbies outside of writing?
I love watching my kids play. They make me laugh! I also love to read and listen to all kinds of music.

If you were on the staff to have a book adapted to movie, what would you pick?
I loved the book Wicked Ties by Shayla Black and would love to see a move adaptation

What is a talent you wish you had, but don't?
To be able to provide comfort to those who are troubled, with anything in life.

Favorite color?
Black- its sexy and universal.

Weather: Hot or cold?
I prefer the cold so I can warm up with Hubby :)

Favorite place to read?
Anywhere!

Favorite meal
Chili with cornbread and cheese- awesome comfort food

Favorite non-alcoholic drink.
Fruit punch with tons of ice

If you could travel anywhere and do anything, no limits or money holding you back, where would you go?
Greece. I would go there and stay forever!

  2. Fun interview! I do love Chilli with cheese and cornbread but I can't eat it right now (I'm on a bland diet per Dr's orders). Love the cover for Submit To Your Fantasies! Good luck with all of your upcoming WIPS!
