Follow Me Friday: Blog Style July 20th

Hi! Welcome to Follow Me Friday: Blog Style! I believe that book bloggers should help one another, because well, we all have one thing in common- the love of blogging, and books. I've had the pleasure of meeting and networking with some great bloggers out there, and my little tribute to everyone is to start up this fun Friday post! The power of uniting has helped Storm Goddess Book Reviews & More grow into what it is today, and I'm not about to forget the help I've gotten to achieve this goal. My hopes in starting this is to get other blogs some more followers, whether they are a well known blog or a small one, a blog that's just starting out. I'm here to help.

This Friday I'd like to feature Rosanna Leo’s Room. The owner/create of this blog is Rosanna Leo. I hope you'll follow along as I ask some questions pertaining to the blog, and a few fun questions. Ready? Let's begin!

Hi! Welcome to Storm Goddess Book Reviews and More! I'm really excited about this, and glad that you have taken part of the fun!

So, tell us a little bit about yourself!

Thanks so much for having me here today! I’m Rosanna Leo and I write paranormal and contemporary erotic romance for Liquid Silver Books. This has been a great year for me, with 4 books under my belt and hopefully more coming! I’m a married mom of two boys and am obsessed with romance books…you know the kind…with bare-chested men on the covers!

What made you decide to start a blog?

I realized early on that it was a great promo tool for my own books, but as I started talking to other others, I realized it was a great showcase for their work too. If I’ve realized anything about this community of romance writers, it’s that we love to share! Sharing brings success, and I’m so happy about the friendships I’ve made in the process.

How did you come up with a blog name?

Well, I wanted something that sounded a little sexy, but not too blatant!

How many people do you have on staff, and how do you decide who does what job?

It’s all me!! I wish I had a staff some days! Perhaps one day when I’ve reached mega-author status! LOL!

How long has your blog been live/active?

Since about Feb. 2012. I’m a total newbie, both in the blogging world and the publishing world. J

What type of things do you do? Services you provide?
Really, it’s fairly basic right now. I like to showcase other authors a few times through the week by providing interviews, highlighting their work, showing off cover pics and providing a space for their blog posts. I’m open-minded. I don’t like to be rigid about format.

What are THREE unique things about your blog?
1) It shows a lot of love!
2) It (hopefully) shows off my sense of humor!
3)It’s a space where you can say whatever you want, as long as we’re not bashing anyone. No negativity.

How do you go about spreading the word about your blog, and the posts?
I think I belong to a gazillion Facebook groups. That helps. I tweet and I belong to Triberr so my tweets are automatically spread to a huge community of other tweeters.

What's the best thing about blogging?
I get to learn about so many wonderful books and authors. My TBR list has grown substantially!
What's the hardest thing about being a blogger?
The timekeeping. I’m pretty organized but sometimes my schedule gets ahead of me!! It tends to take over from my writing time as well.

Besides blogging, what are some of your other hobbies and passions?
I was trained as a classical singer so I love music. I also love to hike with my husband and kids. And I love to eat…although I prefer others to cook for me! J

Which author have you not hosted on your blog that you'd LOVE to have?
Ooh…well, would it be too unrealistic to say Diana Gabaldon? LOL! She’s my absolute fave! Oh, and Syrie James. I loved her Nocturne book.

How does one go about getting a review request to you?
An email will do! I’m at rleoauthor@gmail.com

How does one go about becoming a reviewer for you?
At present I don’t offer reviews.

Where can readers find you? How many ways to follow do you have?
You can follow on Networked Blogs and Google Friend Connect. You can find the blog at www.rosannaleo.blogspot.com

How do you accept review requests? What genre's do you review?
Sorry, no reviews right now. J

How would an author go about getting a feature, whether it be an interview, guest post, etc?
Just send me an email at the above address. It’s pretty casual! I try not to demand pints of blood, firstborn children, etc. LOL!

Most memorable post/even?
That’s a good one! It wasn’t so much a memorable post, as it was interesting to me. When author Savannah Chase appeared, I got a million comments! She’s one popular girl. D.C. McMillen also inspired a lot of interest with her post on boobs! J

Let's share some firsts!

And now for some fun questions!

Three books on your keeper's shelf. “Outlander” by Diana Gabaldon. “Nocturne” by Syrie James. “Colters’ Woman” by Maya Banks.

Book you've re-read the most? “Nocturne” and “Colters’ Woman.”
Favorite TV show? Coronation Street, a long-running British soap opera.

Favorite color? Purple

What's your dream job? I’m living it! Writing!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, no money holding you back, where would you go? Firstly, London, then Edinburgh…and I would just hole up in those two cities for a while. J

Anything else you'd like to add in, maybe something I didn't ask in the interview that you'd love to share with readers?
Just that I welcome you all to visit www.rosannaleo.blogspot.com and let me know what you think! Thanks for letting me visit you today!!

I really appreciate you answering my questions. It's great getting to know other bloggers that share the same interests as I do. Before we end this post, please share any links that come in handy for you and your blog.
