Review: Sing to Me, Cowboy

Sing to Me Cowboy Review

Title: Sing to Me Cowboy

Author: Lauri Robinson

Genre: Contemporary

Heat Level: Sweet

Reviewer: Tabitha

Rating: 5 Lightning Bolts

Sing to Me Cowboy was such a heartfelt story. I was swept away from the very first page. I read this book in one sitting…couldn’t stop turning the pages.

What do you get when fate tosses two lost loves together? You get a second chance at the one that got away.

Lance Dugan is a rising star in the country music industry but something is still missing in his life. He has everything he could ever want but the one girl that has inspired most of his songs.

Heather Gibson is going through a nasty divorce and running into her old flame Lance just isn’t what she needs at the moment. But one smile from Lance and she remembers the boy she has tried to forget for years.

This is a story about second chances and it’s told beautifully. We all have moments we wished we could get back or something we wished we had done differently. I personally am a big fan of second chance stories.

The characters are easy to relate too and vividly written. I clearly experienced every emotion the characters did. At times, I felt their pain, laughter, and despair. When a story can rattle all my emotions I’m thrilled! Lauri Robinson did just that and did it perfectly.

If you like stories about a sexy cowboys with a good sense of humor you will love this story. The whitty banter between Lance and Heather was so engaging. I was laughing aloud at times. Honestly there is nothing I didn’t like about this story.

I would recommend this story to anyone that is looking for a short read that packs a lot of punch. Lauri packs a lot of story into a small package. Kudos Lauri! I’ll be looking for more of your books in the future.

    1. You are going to love this story! And I'm not a huge Contemporary reader. It has to be a really good story to keep me interested and this one had me hooked.

  10. Goodness, Tabitha, your response to this book has humbled me. I'm so glad you liked it. The idea for the story and the characters had been with me for a while, but since I usually write historical westerns, I wasn't sure if I'd ever get a chance to write it. When I heard the call from The Wild Rose Press for the Honky Tonk Hearts series, I was so excited! And more so now, knowing you enjoyed Heather and Lance's story as much as I enjoyed writing it. Thanks so much for your time and effort in reading and posting your review. I sincerely appreciate it!

    Cheers,
    Lauri
