The BLURB: Wing Slayer Hunter, Ram Virtos, must find his soul mirror witch and convince her to mate with him before his Thunderbird tattoo kills him. But while that witch might be able to save Ram’s life, it is the mysterious Ginny Stone who inflames his passion.
Ginny has been deeply fascinated by Ram for months, but dared not act on it or she’d be torn from her mortal life on earth and thrust into her dreaded destiny as a half-breed angel. But when her beloved brother’s soul is at stake, she must do the one thing she both fears and desires…
Take Ram to her bed.

MY THOUGHTS:  Firstly, I need to just slap my hand right now. Why, you ask? Because until now I haven't read a book by this author. I got the chance to read the Forbidden Magic novella, and was blown away by Ms. Lyon's writing. In this glimpse of the Wing Slayers series, I was captivated by the world building, the characters, the intricate plot that really pulled me in. Though this was a novella, I am amazed at how much action, emotion, and characterization there is jam packed into it.  Oh yes, and the hot, hot loving! Whoohee!

This is a really great view into the series. I am appreciative of how original and different this world is, considering all of the paranormal stories out there. Jennifer Lyon, you've found a new fan in me, and I am going to have to find all the books in this series.  Ram and Ginny really shined through. Ram is rough around the edges, but there's also so much more to him, and Ginny, wow she can hold her own just fine. Great leading characters.

Let me say, don't miss this story! Simple as that.

Author Information:
Jennifer Lyon grew up under the shadow of the Matterhorn at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. She attended Walt Disney elementary school and her very first playmate was her beloved dog, Duke, who was cast in the role of hero in all their adventures.
Clearly Jen was born to daydream. But it took her years to figure out how to turn her imagination into a career as an author. After marrying and becoming a full time mom to three sons, Jen launched her career with the award winning Samantha Shaw Mystery Series and other romantic mysteries under the name Jennifer Apodaca. Later, she took the name Jennifer Lyon, combined her love of witches, alpha males and sizzling romance into another award winning series, the Wing Slayer Hunters.

  9. No hand slapping here as I have read the first four books and LOVED THEM!!! I found them at our library and put myself on the list for each of the books to read them. I was done in record time as I couldn't put each book down after I started them! I was so relieved and did a happy dance when I heard Ms. Lyon was going to continue the series on her own! Now I want to own the series so I can read them again and again whenever I want! I would want Blood Magic.
