Family.Review Rating: 5 LIGHTNING BOLTS
Review: So, last year I read this outstanding book that totally made me cry, laugh, and feel so many emotions. That book was Dear Emily. And I wanted the next book right away. Like a good girl (And because short of kidnapping the author and making her give me the story now, I had no other choice) I waited for the next one. Dear Emily showed us the beginning of Tabatha's journey.
So, in Dear Tabitha, it picks up where Dear Emily left off. In typical Trudy Stiles fashion (At least for these two books), the reader is taken into the past for both Alex and Tabatha, and we also get their viewpoints in the present. The past is to show just how much these two have overcome, and for both of them, their pasts were never easy. Never. They were full of heartache, loss, pain, fear, but they also showed triumph, because the two have learned from the past.
There were so many things I wasn't expecting, but wow. I couldn't stop reading! Trudy Stiles has a way of grabbing you right away and holding on tight until the very last page. Dear Tabitha stole my heart just as much as Dear Emily did.. There wasn't a part that was lacking. Every single page and word was filled with depth and emotion that made me feel so much for Alex and Tabitha,
This is not a standalone book. I highly suggest you read both books, but you need to do so in order. Dear Emily and Dear Tabitha have stayed in my heart, my mind and I want more. Trudy Stiles is an author with staying power and I'm so eager to see what else she has in store for her readers. With just two books, she's gone on my auto buy list.
