BLURB: You call this a mission?
Yeah, ex-Army Ranger and Taylor Securities operative Billy Tripp screwed up. So instead of being assigned to a dangerous international mission, he’s sent to babysit a pricey necklace at a trendy South Beach hotel. The only bright side to the assignment is working with the manager, smoking-hot hotel heiress Kristen Dante.
Kristen’s worked hard to build her father’s Miami hotel into a jet-set destination. She’s confident in business but not so much with men. What could a sexy guy like Billy want with her when he could have someone like her beautiful, party-girl sister?
There’s a reason Billy’s known as Mr. Relentless. He doesn’t give up. Not on a job, or on the woman he wants. So when three luxury cars go missing from the hotel’s lot, Billy sets out to find the thief. Suddenly, he has a case with the risks he thrives on. But when his investigation leads to Kristen being threatened, the real danger is losing his heart.
REVIEW:
Kristen Dante’s life has always been centered on work but somehow her attention has been going towards a sexy secret security agent. She knows it’s wrong considering that someone has been stealing high price cars from her hotel. Having Billy Tripp from Taylor Securities is a god send especially since he is the best agent out there. Yet something about Billy and his pursuit of her is making her feel conscious of herself. For years she has always been fat and now having this hot, sexy man look at her is well making her feel like a woman. She knows that one look at her sister and he will forget about her but Billy is a man unusual from the other men she has known. One minute she wants to kill him and the next want to rip his clothes off. Can she though reveal her true self to Billy before he loses interest in her?
Billy Tripp has screwed up royally. All he had to do was renew his passport but the ADHD inside him forgot and now he is being punished by babysitting in a hotel. It could be worse but something about Kristen Dante has him thinking of permanency in South Beach. He can’t understand why a sexy, beautiful woman like her can’t see how sexy she really is. His mother has always told him that his honesty and bluntness could get him in trouble. Kristen is one person though that has libido going and he’s determined to make her see that she is beautiful inside and out. Just when he thinks he could leave he senses Kristen needs his help and he’s willing to get some dangerously fun in this assignment. His main goal is to make Kristen see that his feelings for her are legit and not just to get laid. His other goal is to find out who is behind the car theft in his lover’s hotel?
This is the first I have read from Adrienne Giordano and have to say there were highs and downs in this book for me. The high was it was sweet and heart felt that Kristen was shy about her body and her beauty. Billy is definitely a smooth talker but knows how to treat his woman right and man Kristen is all for it. The down side for me was Billy. There were times that he was on the right path and then somehow he got sidetracked easily. It could have been his ADHD in the book but I was hoping for a steadier Billy. The love he has for her though it strong and funny at times. All in all it was an okay book and wonder what Adrienne Giordano’s next one will be like.
